See, that’s what the app is perfect for.

Sounds perfect Wahhhh, I don’t wanna

if anyone has a close up video of florence welch singing choreomania in toronto on september 3, 2022 please please please send it to me. i’m looking for the part in it when she ran into the center of the audience and stood on some sound thing. i was there, near the center, and she was so close to me and it was one of the best moments of my life and i really want to find a close up video of it. i want to have a video that was at least similar to what i was seeing because i really don’t want to forget it but i can already tell that my memory’s fading. it was literally the best thing ever and i don’t want to forget a single detail about it but i already have.

(i didn’t have my phone with me and honestly i doubt i would’ve had the cognitive ability to take it out and film, i was literally doing nothing but breathing, blinking, and being in awe, i wasn’t even hearing the song)

i’ve been like obsessively searching the internet for it and i’ve found a couple but they’re from far away. i saw a bunch of people filming so there has to be someone with that video out there, right?

(even if you don’t have it please reblog this so more people can see it)

update: i’m less desperate now but it would still be nice if i could find a video of it

i almost feel like the internet is less usable than it was ten years ago. i guess there are more features but nothing runs smoothly, every site i go on has a subscription popup i have to close three times, there are ads covering the screen that have tiny little x marks you can't click, toolbars take up half the screen, search functions are shit, i have to fight against a million little annoyances just to find things. im not trying to romanticize the past internet and im sure it was more annoying than i remember, but the experience of doing anything online nowadays is filled with so much frustration

Every day my mind realises just how seriously and deeply devastating that final episode of good omens was. I don’t even mean devastating in the bad way, but in the way where it makes you feel REAL feelings, when you can feel your heart sink with frustration and compassion. Idk i might just be an overly emotional gal but this is my thank you and well done note to you. Not many people have the ability to create a story so fictional yet SO real. Thank you <3

neil-gaiman answered:

You are so welcome. That was what we were all going for: to make people feel real feelings.

I’m glad that people are responding to it like this, too.

blueberry-sunshines asked:

Dear Mr. Gaiman,

I have chosen to read Good Omens as my summer novel for my upcoming AP English class.

Consequently, now I must write an entire research paper about you for my end of year project.

Do you have anything to say for the kid who’s about to spend their senior year reading a plethora of your works and trying to discover all the mysteries of your life?

Thank you for being the most remarkable wordsmith I could ever consider writing about <3

Just that I’m really sorry. And I hope it’s fun anyway.

RE: talking to conservative parents, I’ve found a good method to de-worming their brains is to not get riled up, just act a little bored and remind them “the news cycle only shows salacious stuff. They want you to be mad and scared because it makes you easier to control. Think about it for a second. Do you REALLY believe everything they have to say?” Or “you can’t believe everything you read or see on the internet. Remember, they earn money every time you click on their video.”

And especially when my dad starts getting huffy about Prices or Artists He Doesn’t Like, I tell him “that’s the beauty of capitalism. they have a product to sell and the freedom of expression if you don’t like it you don’t have to buy it.”

Might not work for everyone but dad’s KRYPTONITE especially is saying “but dad that’s capitalism! You LOVE capitalism!” And he either has to stop complaining or admit capitalism is bad and so far I haven’t lost
